There was a 2nd Wheeler family in s Tate township 15 miles south east of Lewis Road. I have my doubts about "ANY" of the 3+ Maine colonies men serving from Va. Mass,or New Hampshire. I have no PROOF of no Va service by any of the Maine colonies. I have no doubt about the Lewis Rd Wheeler's being from Maine,nor of some going to Vigo Co,though Milroy,Rush Co,Indiana in 1826 was also mentioned.
