    3. From time to time I see these names in postings. Two of these names, McCollum and White, are found among very early residents of Campbell Co. KY. Anyone familiar with cross river connections? The third, Hoover, has an interesting story connected. Joseph Hoover of Ohio married Catherine Truesdell of Campbell county. They had three children Mary Ann 1813, David 1816 and Catherine abt 1818. In December of 1823 the mother Catherine died. "Following her death her brothers, Solomon Jr and John Truesdell, went to Hoover's house, took charge of Catherine's three small children and forbade Hoover on pain of death ever to attempt to see them again or to take court action toward their recovery. By agreement John was to raise Mary Ann and Solomon Jr the two younger; all three were to take the name of Truesdell and Hoover was never to be mentioned with the family" This was done. The children, Mary Ann married Milton Tarvin, David married Martha Jolly, Catherine married William Dix. Collectively they had fourteen children. Herman Kleine
