    1. Re: [OHCLER] Re: SARGENT - Underground Railroad.
    2. Some of the Sargents and Pigman's were located 1-3 miles from the Ohio River on Bear Creek. SE Clermont. SW Franklin twnsp. I call the Dr Allen Woods cemetary original the cemetary of the Sargents, and their Methodist class. Mom went to a [?] Lamb family cemetary w ith Frances and Penny. On the hillside west of Bullskin Creek, and west of the road from Cedron to RuraL. S Franklin twnsp,or Washington twnsp until 1818 Good location. Once they went to Methodist church with Thomas Fee,who was the earliest Underground RRer I can prove, via his daughter's testomy. I own a copy of Frances Darnell and Penny Ough's "Sargent" book, but don't know the Sargents apart without research. My Mom used to ride around with them when they came from Ark and Fla,to Clermont,to research. One of the Sargents attennded Ohio's Constitutional Congress, and his votes on slavery are published. For 1 day,Ohio's lawmakers gave free black males, while witholding the vote from white females. They reversed themselves the next day, after conversations with their wives. Anybody researching se Clermont's Franklin and Washington townships, and Lewis twnsp in Brown Co may want to eat at 'The Feedmill" resturant in Felicity.I've always enjoyed their daily specials.
