My Mom used to ride around with them when they came from Ark and Fla,to Clermont,to research. One of the Sargents attennded Ohio's Constitutional Congress,and his votes on slavery are published. For 1 day,Ohio's lawmakers gave free black males,while witholding the vote from white females. They reversed themselves the next day,after conversations with their wives.
