I have a number of Clermont Jones in my database, probably the earliest is one Jacob Jones II born in Wales abt 1740 and died in Clermont abt 1815. His wife was Sarah also born in Wales. They were married in Montgomery Co., PA in 1763 and had a son Thomas among other children who I have as having married Susanna Baum. I have no Lash in my database. I am a descendant of the Jacob JONES born in Wales around 1740. I have his children as: Hannah b about 1760 married ------- DUNN Ellen b about 1762 married ------- WEST - they had a son Thomas WEST Elizabeth b abt 1763 married William WATSON (I have their children) John b about 1765 m unknown (I have his children) Mary b about 1767 married ------- MC BRIDE Susannah b 2 Oct 1770 married Amos GUSTIN (they were Mormons - I have info on them) Alice b about 1771 marr (1) John LEWIS, (2) John L. CUMMINS, Jr Jacob III b 1772-1778 m unknown (2 children, Isaac and William) William b 1779 married Elizabeth WOLF (my line - lots of info on them) Thomas b 1784 marr (1) Susan BAUM, (2) Mary E. "Polly" CONSTANT I think the Thomas W. Jones, Jr born in England in 1803 and married to LASH must be a different family.
