Evert's 1880 'History of Clermont Co,Oh' says Hildebrand girls were accusing witnesses of John Evans wife,Nancy,in Bethel,Ohio's 1800 era witch trial. The witch's lawyer,Benj Morris,30 years later,wrote a newspaper article with a different account of the beginning of the witch-craft story. There were a couple Hildebrant marriages in-near Bethel abt 1800.
