I've been reading the very interesting posts to this forum, but this is my first post for help. I'm looking for parents or siblings of Samuel J. GRIFFITH (b 27 August 1826 in Hamilton County, OH, died 3 October 1871 in Clermont County). He married Elizabeth MYERS in 1853. During the Civil War he enlisted in 79th Ohio Infantry Volunteers. He was a carpenter and its rumored his family came from Wales. I have all kinds of records on this man, including his military and pension files, but I cannot find any mention of parents or siblings anywhere.
