    1. RE: A STORY

    3. Now i will try to tell a short story not as long or as "neat" as Hermon's. I have always been interested in where my father came from and like many, if i had enough sense i would have ask. Started in about the late 50s to find the family. My husband died in 1979, so i quit and tried to put my life back together, did some research but not alot. Put the books and many papers away. A couple of years ago my son insisted i get this "beast" and put the family history on it. (In fact he built it for me( As everyone, that has lost someone, knows you forget a lot of the little things. A man on the OHROOTS ask about a Matteson, which is my husband's Grandmother's name. SOOOOOO!! i went out to the garage and started digging and found, "Historical Collections of Brown County, Ohio" by Carl N. Thompson. I had forgotten i even had it. NOW, because i know how hard it is to search, it is indexed so anyone who wants me to look for their family i will try my best. Don't all yell at once :-). June
