To anyone following the Gray discussion on the Clermont County, OH mailing list: I have been going through the Common Pleas Chancercy Records of Clermont County, OH. In Vol 1 (1824 - 1835) there is a dispute between John G Scott and wife and Andrew Gray and wife Vs Samuel Beckelshymer and son, John Beckelshymer. There is also information regarding 3 or 4 of the Logan family in this dispute. I have been researching the Beckelhymer (aka Behymer) family for several years. The Behymer and Gray families were closely allied. Andrew Gray's children by his first wife, Elizabeth Logan (or Martha Logan ?) are listed in the dispute mentioned above. It is quite interesting reading. If you don't mind large files (5 pages each of upwards of 800 KByte or so) I have scanned them and could E-mail them to anyone who might be interested (contact me off list). FYI: I also just discovered this related web site: http://members.aol.com/janau/gray.htm Lastly, for Behymer researchers: I am wondering if Samuel Behymer's first wife, Catherine Logan, might be a sister to the Logans mentioned in the above dispute (i.e., Daniel - a bachelor, Jane, who married John G Scott, and Martha who married Andrew Gray). William Logan was the father of the latter three, who I think may be one and the same as the father of Catherine Logan of Franklin County, VA). It also seems strange to me that Andrew Gray's wife is listed as Martha (i.e. Logan) in this dispute, while all other sources list his wife as Elizabeth (i.e. Logan).
