The original Isaac Ferguson settlement was downriver about where the Beckjord Power Generating plant is,with the Lindsey'a ,M attox,ETC north,on the river hill where Beckjord buries ashes.The son,Hugh Ferguson's was about 3 miles n e,out Bethel-New Richmond Rd,where the 1810-20 log cabin Franklin Academy led to a neighborhood called Franklin,and a Franklin Methodist and cemetary on Franklin-Laurel Rd. Timothy Raredin lived where the church is,and the Nichols cemetry was on Karnes Rd- Carnes,to the east.
