I am researching Patrick CASSADY who married Martha DEBRULER in 1853 in Clermont County, Ohio. Patrick was 35 at the time of his marriage so he would have been born about 1818. He doesn't appear in the 1850 census of Clermont County. He and Martha had 1 child, John Salt CASSADY in 1854 and Patrick died in 1857. On later censuses, John Salt Cassady states that Patrick was born in Northern Ireland. I am trying to determine when Patrick arrived in the U.S. I don't know Patrick's parents' names or if he had any siblings. In researching Clermont County land records, I couldn't find anything about Patrick, but I came across three other Cass* (various endings included -idy, -edy, -eday, -aday, iday): - Lee Cassidy, who first bought property in the county in 1832 and last sold property in 1865 - James Cassidy, who brought property in 1847 and 1848 and sold it in 1851, and - Martin Cassidy who bought land in 1860. Does anyone know anything about these other Cassidys? I'm wondering if any of them were related to my Patrick. Thanks for any help! Pam Cassiday Decatur, GA
