Adam Fisher, father of the Hon. David Fisher, of Mt. Holly, was born in 1750, near Philadelphia, and was the son of a German emigrant. He married Susannah Jones, sister of Thos. Jones, also a revolutionary soldier. He served eighteen months in the war and his descendants in Clermont have his discharge papers attesting his good soldierly qualities. His life was well depicted in a recent number of the Courier, giving an interview with his distinguised son. Thomas Jones was from Pennsylvania and served in Wayne's brigade. He was the brother in law of Adam Fisher, the father of the venerable Hon. David Fisher. He settled in Washington township and died on Indian creek in 1827. His sons, George and Henry, died in that township; Anthony lived in Felicity, and David and John removed to Indiana. John Charles Tippet [email protected]
