Reuben Ross, b: abt. 1755, Harford Co, MD, d: Hamilton Co, OH. He applied for his pension in Hamilton Co 9 June, 1818 and he had a brother, Ignatius. Apparently, there were 3 Reuben Ross's in the Rev War from MD... this one from Harford Co, 1 from Dorchester Co and the other I have no information on. The Dorchester Co. Reuben Ross died in IL. Research suggests that the Harford Co and Dorchester Co Reubens were probably of the same immigrant. A 2nd Reuben Ross lived in Anderson township,Hamilton Co,Oh,and if akin to Ignatius Ross,had Md Catholic roots. He served from what is today,very sw Pa's Greene Co,,but Nov 1774,-1781 was Monoghalia Co,Va.These Rosses owned land in Sterling township,Brown Co,Oh n e of Williamsburg,Ohio by 1820. I say the 2 were confused in 1 of the 4 books on Clermont's Rev War vets.
