Anna, I am sorry but I have misplaced the phone number of the sextant at Williamsburg cemetery. I will try to get it for you. Also this is still an active cemetery. John Johnson, who once spent 30 years within 3 miles of the above cemetary, and that many more selling real estate, has never seen the above cemetary east of Felicity. John checked, and found Franklin Twnsp does 'not' take care of this, now isolated ,cemetary. Unless some group,or individual cares for it,Olive Christian,-once a Dunkard group, later became MT PLEASANT,with a cemetary on RT 222,west of RT 133. John said by going to the Franklin Twnsp office,Hopewell Rd,w Felicity, aid will be given to gain egress thru private farms. Who has 1st hand knowledge of this cemetary s of Felicity-Cedron Rd,and the area of E Love Rd,and Penny Rd,on a road long abandoned. ________________________________________________________________ YOU'RE PAYING TOO MUCH FOR THE INTERNET! Replace the words as fitting for that place you know. I grew up, the first time, in NW Colorado and sometimes I still "warsh" my clothes. In the local bar you ordered a "Curs with" (Coors with a glass), 99% just ordered a "Curs". The only filling station in the next town upriver had a sign in the restroom that said "Flush the toilet, Craig needs the water". You had to drive 42 miles to get your braces on/adjusted/off. You could not have a white car, that was for the law. You have to leave class in high school to take your pet home, because your lamb did follow you to school and was sitting outside the class room calling you..Baaa..Baaa. Where you get in trouble with mom because you were shooting rabbits from the back yard. The kids in the neighborhood had a funeral for your pet bobcat, who's mother had been killed by a sheepherder you know. You made your money to buy a bike by docking sheep in the spring. This paid 25 cents a hour plus a great lunch of bologna on white bread, the fixins were spread out on one of the broken fence boards. The bologna was cut off the tube (call by a very discriptive name) with the cleanest docking knive. Where you enjoyed watching the city people eat the rocky mountian oysters and then, find out what they really were. Were your grandmother really had an ice box. Where Coke was any thing in a bottle or at the fountain in the only drug store. I am looking for the cemetery where Vincent Wainright is buried. He died ca 1846 in either Wayne TWP or Stonelick TWP. He is not on the 1850 or 1860 Census, I seem to recall him listed in one of the Cemetery books at the library in Batavia, when I was there two years ago. Thanks for your help. Gerald
I found out that my Noah HAMILTON went by the name Fred Hamilton. He married Maud Mae (or May) MCELFRESH. On a death certificate for a child they are listed as May McElfresh and Fred Hamilton. (which was his middle name) both were born in Kentucky. They were in New Richmond in 1910 when my grandfather was born Lionel Hamilton. Does anyone have access to census or death information he would have died about 1965. Thank you Beth
Does anyone know if the Clermont County marriage books, pre 1850 and 1850 to 1874 are still in print? Is it still possible to obtain copies of either (or both) of them? Alternatively, is there anyone willing to do lookups in them? John Charles Tippet johntippet@home.com
