Also there are quite a few Garrisons-Garretsons- Gerritson's buried in the IOOF Cemetery in Blanchester, Ohio. Will go back and see if I can find my notes. Oakey Vanosdol's son,Robert, and his wife,Sarah granted the church trustees an acre. abowling@bonwell.com grew up attending said Concord church.Trustee's were: Thomas Jenkins, son of John Jenkins, and his Vaughn wife-from Tuckertown,NJ shore about 1805 2 son-in-laws of Edward Doughty,ex Absecon,NJ about 1803-04. John Leeds,JP and James Bunting. My Samuel Ely m 1st Rachel Leeds,1804,Port Republic,NJ . John Leeds,JP and Rachel Leeds Ely were children of James and Rhoda Byard Leeds, ex Leeds Point,NJ. 1806 to Clermont Co,Oh . John Leeds,JP m 2nd Antis White Blair, widowed dau of David White, and his Vaughn wife-1804 era from Tuckertown,NJ. Samuel Ely m 2nd,Elizabeth, widow of Joseph Kain, and dau of Isaiah 1770-1830 and Mary Sooy Johnson, ex Little Egg Harbor Twnsp. Joseph,of Leonard Raper, was of very sw Pa,1790. Witnessed by John Blair,of Alexander, who were from present Atlantic Co,and by Elijah Homan-the Swedish Homan's lived in all 3 counties that were once old Gloucester Co,NJ . It is my idea that the cemetary removed from the East Fork State Park campground a couple miles nw across the creek [Lake Harsha today] was the original Methodist church of the neighborhood .Edward Doughty,N.P.COX,and an Iler, and 50 unmarked graves were moved to Old Bethel Methodist-the mother church of the colony. I'm reading data from The United Methodist Commision and Archives,Madison ,NJ that my Rev Jesse Justice, who lived between Woodbury and Swedesboro,NJ WAS 1798 a NJ circut minister 1800 ordained a deacon 1802 ordained an elder 1804 'located" or quit riding a s NJ circut 1805,sold out,and moved a few miles south of where thw above church would be formed.
My cousin and I have been researching our Needhams in Clermont County. Arriving Clermont and buying 500 acres of land in 1815 on Jackson Pike. I have a copy of his will probated in 1830 and it mentions his wife Esther, sons John and William named as executors. In preperation for my cousin Elizabeth's trip to the UK where she is looking into John's family we have run into a suppossed second wife of John. Her name is Ann Burton. Our John is buried in Greenbriar cemetery along with whom I thought was Esther Needham. Can anyone confirm if an Ann Needham or Esther Needham is buried next to John D. Needham d. 1830? We have hired a genealogist in England and he says Esther died in child birth in 1801 and could not have immigrated to the USA in what we believe to be 1797 or so. We are confused for sure now and hiring a genealogist in England and a researcher to check the National Archives is getting a little expensive. Any help or information would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Tony! Needham
Susan, In your email you note that you are researching REARDON/RAIRDON. Could the spelling possibly be RARIDEN/RARIDON/RAREDIN? See: http://departments.mwc.edu/hipr/www/inventories/franklin/rariden,moses.htm Regards, Ed in CA
I have Rosannah DOUGHTY death as August 06, 1851 but do not have a place of death or where she is buried. Do you have any idea's? Her husband Isaiah LEEDS is buried in Old Bethel Cemetery but have not been able to find her. Eileen Blair

I have finally pinned down Bertha Lanham of Felicity to b. 1885- D.1933. She married William "Bum" Hesler in 1904. We have good reason to think that Bertha's mother was "Dove". Her father is a mystery and the key to the whole thing. Does this ring a bell for anyone?
Sorry about the questions about Allegheny Cemetery - it got sent to the wrong list- please ignore. Joy in CT

Hi listers About a month ago I wrote to Allegheny Cemetery asking about additional family members buried there. Know J. Robert IZOD was buried there 13 Oct 1978 from his obit, but have not heard from them at all. Should I write again, or just be patient. Is there a fee for this information? Their phone was constantly busy so that doesn't seem like an option. Any suggestions? Joy in CT
