Can anyone tell me what books have been published containing cemetery records for Clermont County, OH? In particular, I believe the DAR ladies published a book many years ago that contained the results of their research. Also, is there a web site listing the cemeteries or does anyone have a list of the cemeteries for Clermont County, OH? John Charles Tippet johntippet@home.com

Debbie, I think perhaps that you just hit them at a back time.. I've never had to wait that long for a death certificate from OHS. Or perhaps they were short personnel. I think the longest I had to wait was 6 weeks. Ginger

Debbie, I am glad you shared your information about receiving copies of death certificates from the Ohio Historical Society. I sent off for four copies on 01 June 2000 and now I know not to expect them until the middle of September or later. I hope I get them by the 23rd. of Sept. as that is my mother's eightieth birthday and our family reunion and I would like to share them with everyone. Have a good day! Janine in TN
April 29, 2000 I ordered the death certificate of my grandmother Viola Breeden/James d.2-19-1941 in Longview Hospital, Cincinnati, Ohio. I received it 8-11-2000. I was very happy to get it but that is a long time to wait. I can't get back to the 1800's because it takes so long to get information. At the same time I requested a death certificate for Eliza Williams d.5-15-1909. I gave the County and City name, Volume # and File #. I received a death certificate for Bice A. Accurti d.4-9-26. Somebody really goofed. I was so disappointed after waiting 3 1/2 mos. I don't want to bad mouth the Historical Society but---. I better not say too much since they are a good resource most of the time. I understand Geneology is a hit and miss hobby. It really hurts when you miss. I feel better since I told ya'll about it and I will start at ground zero again and wait another 3 1/2 mos. I'm not going to live long enough for many of these misses. Debbie in Griffin, Ga.

HI list Where is the best place to start looking for a birth in Clermont County abt 1888. I'm looking for the birth of a Myrtle HARRY, daughter of Cornelia Harry nee IZOD. Her birth is not to be found in the IN county where they lived so am guessing that Cornelia went home to Clermont (Williamsburg or Loveland) County to be with one of her sisters who lived there. Is it the Probate court that I need to write to? What is their address? How much does it cost? Or would it be better to write to the Genealogical or Historical society? Or someone else? Thanks for any and all advice. Joy in CT
Hello Everyone, My name is Melinda Napier. I am new to this list. I am searching for the family of Carol Jean CLIFTON. Her parents are Earl CLIFTON and Norma Lee SMITH. I am looking for info on the fathers side. The only thing that I know is that he died somewhere in Clermont county. I do not know of his parents. I was told that he has a sister by the name of Geneva and a brother by the name of John. I know this is not a lot of info but if anyone can help I would really appreciate it. Thanks to everyone, Happy hunting. Melinda183@aol.com
My family information shows that Clarence H Windsor died 7 Nov 1918 in Gallipolis, Gallia Co., Ohio. I would like to confirm this, and where he is buried, and learn the name of his spouse. Clarence was the son of John Windsor and Elizabeth Springer of Clermont Co, Ohio. He was born 19 Jul 1875, in Ohio, probably in Clermont Co. Thank you, Kathleen Rizer
