Does anyone know where the Highland Cemetery is located? John Charles Tippet johntippet@home.com
John, The Tate Twp. Cemetery is located in the heart of Bethel in Tate Twp. Most of my Cornwell family is buried there. There are other cemeteries around but they may be in other townships. I haven't been up there since Memorial week-end in 1999 and didn't get to look around much while there. Janine in TN
I have seen the Bethel Cemetery refered to as the Tate Twp Cemetery. Is it located in the town of Bethel? I assume it is also in Tate Twp. Which designation is used most often: Bethel Cemetery or Tate Twp Cemetery? Are there other cemeteries located in the town of Bethel? John Charles Tippet johntippet@home.com
I'm looking at an 1866 list of the post offices in Clermont, and there are 2 I don't know. Newville and Polktown, which I suppose was Poetown= Maple P.O., MUST HAVE BEEN TWICE AS MANY POST OFFICES BY 1890, when every neighborhood country store had a post office, and name. One on here is Henning's Mills, aka Coontown in s e Williamsburg township. It's church and cemetary was -is New Harmony Methodist,a mile east in Brown Co. Marathon had Cranmer's Methodist cem a 1\2 mile east on RT 50, but mostly would bury at Bloom Rose U.B.cemetary in the edge of Brown Co. Chilo buried at what the DAR called Wood's cemetary, and I call Sargent's. Mt Olive,on RT 133,IS IN THE NEIGHBORHOOD OF a cluster of family cemetaries ________________________________________________________________ YOU'RE PAYING TOO MUCH FOR THE INTERNET! Still looking for death records and parents of SILAS DALIE who lived in Clermont Co. for a short time and died there 20 August 1841, according to family diary. He was married to Cynthia Coombs who remained in Clermont Co. for a while with their son, GEORGE WASHINGTON DALIE, until about 1850, when they moved to Clark Co., OH. "Notes of Old Gloucester County NJ' vol 3 page 142 has the 1799 trustees of a Methodist church near present Port Republic-Leeds Point Collins Mill NJ as John Collins,Asa Smith,Joseph Parker, Isaac Higbee, and Cornelius McCollum buying land from Robert Leeds,Jr, page 143-144 gives the trustees of an 1811 church in the same neighborhood, and Anna Collins saying there was and older Methodist church in the neighborhood. . Wm Newberry, Robert Leeds, Joseph Endicott, Richard Leeds, and Joseph Parker. The reason they started a 2nd church is that most of the 1st trustees,in 1803, moved west to my Clermont Co,Oh [and some of the 2nd group of trustees also] Yesterday's mail included a letter from 'Old Bethel M.E.Church Histoirical Soc,Bethel, Oh giving 1 am Sept 24,2000 as the date of the annual homecoming at the ,now,non- denominational church,in East Fork State Park. The stone houses of Rev John Collins, Isaac Higbee, and Cornelius McCollum were torn down in the 1970's as Lake Harsha was flooded.

My cemetery book says that Watkins Hill Cemetery is in Clermont County, Ohio Township and just states that it is "north of New Richmond". Not much help, I know. If you don't get any other replies, you may want to try calling the City of New Richmond offices and they will be able to tell you. Good luck. The phone # for Mt Moriah Cemetery is 513 752-1773. It is on what is now called Mt Moriah Drive in Tobasco, in an area that was always called Withamsville-Tobasco when I was a kid. It is right off SR 125 just east of I 275. ----- Original Message ----- From: "John Charles Tippet" <johntippet@home.com> To: <Sent: Thursday, August 31, 2000 9:43 PM Subject: Mt Moriah Cemetery > I have two questions about this cemetery: > > (1) Is it located in Williamsville or Withamsville? > (2) Are there records available for this cemetery other than what the DAR > published years ago (Monument Inscriptions prior to 1900) > > > ============================== > Search ALL of RootsWeb's mailing lists in real time. > RootsWeb's Personalized Mailing Lists: > http://pml.rootsweb.com/ > >
I hope this is some help in locating the cemeteries, probably not all of them are listed. Another source is to order a County map from the County Engineers office. These county maps usually show where the cemeteries are located. Good searching. Cemetery Junction http://www.daddezio.com/cemetery/index.html 1) Click on United States 2) Click on State 3) I had better luck searching the Alphabetical Listings rather than typing a name in and searching. The following topics are on this page - • Submit a Listing • Tombstone Articles • Obituaries & Wills • Family Research • Local Societies • Related Sites • Find A Grave (OH) • Political Graveyard (OH) • Funeral Homes A quick search for Mt. Pleasant and found: Mt. Zion Cemetery Clermontville - Laurel Rd New Richmond 45157 * Established in 1872 It is one of the cemeteries that are hi-lighted in Blue so you can click and get further information on it. Below are the records on the Mt. Zion page. Cemetery Main Page Will Index T.P. White Funeral Home Records
Can anyone tell me in which town or township the following cemeteries are located? (1) Armacost (2) Calvary (3) Evergreen (4) Green Mound (5) Hamlet (6) Lindale Baptist Church (7) Lucy Run (8) Mt Pleasant (9) Mt Zion (10) Olive Branch
Mt. Moriah Cemetery is in Withamsville on the old branch of Route125, near I-275 (sort of behind the roller rink and other businesses). As for records, I haven't a clue. I have two questions about this cemetery: (1) Is it located in Williamsville or Withamsville? (2) Are there records available for this cemetery other than what the DAR published years ago (Monument Inscriptions prior to 1900)
