    1. Clermont Patriots - Robert Wells, James Collon and Christian Long

    3. Robert Wells fought in the struggle for independence. He came in 1807 from Kentucky to Tate township, dying on the place now owned by William Wells, some fifty years ago aged eighty-four. His sons, Aaron, Solomon, Isaac, Nathan and Jesse went to Indiana, John died in williamsburg, and Robert and Eli on the homestead. One of the daughters, Anna, married James Callon. James Collon was but a boy in the Revolution, but was for nine months a drummer in the western Pennsylvania regiment from near Pittsburg. In 1788 he emigrated to Kentucky, and 1808 to Franklin township, and in 1810 to Tate township, near Mt. Olive, where he died in 1857. In Wayne's indian campaign of 1794 he was a scout and spy and an associate of Simon Kenton. Of his children William and Robert went to Indiana, James and John died in Tate, where Samuel still lives, Rachel was married to Robert Carr, Keziah to Christian Zimmerman, and JeMima to Morgan Ford. Christian Long was in the Pennsylvania State troops, and in 1803 came to Stonelick township, and settled on the farm now owned by Mrs. Hannah Leming. He came to Kentucky to which he had emigrated in 1790. He married Polly Pattison, and was the father of the following children: Mary, Philip, Elizabeth, Nelly, Christina, William and Rebecca.     2. Dear Listers, Would love to have the opportunity to find more material on John Frazee and his family of Sarah Ann, Mary Ann, William, Ann, Rebecca, Cynthia, Infant son, and Eliza. Sarah Ann Frazee married Benjamin Rapp. Mary Ann married Nathan Hill June 29, 1837. William married Nancy Hill Sep 13, 1834. Ann married Unknown Hill. Rebecca married Erasmas Short Nov 26, 1839. Cynthia married Thomas Elrod Nov 28, 1826. Eliza died Oct 12, 1823 Clermont County. As you can see my information is rather sketchy. Would also like info about wether he served in the military.     2. I've heard James John,of the mouth of 9 Mile Creek,sw Clermont was akin to Rev War vet John John. John John and Rev David Jones,and Gen 'Mad" Anthony Wayne, were Welshg,from sw Chester Co,Pa. John John had a daughter ,who was the 2nd wife of George,of Thomas Brown,b 1766,who lived,1808-20,at the head of 12 Mile Creek. John John and New Richmond's LIGHT family lived near Covenrty,and Churchtown,Pa. John John and Peter Light lived in Mason Co,Ky

    2. My wife is from Peter Harden m a Rowan,'s Lydia m to Richard Burk about 1820. I'm from James and Rhoda Byard Leeds,whose siblings included Dr Peter Turner Leeds,who married,and then left,for mid-Illinois,another of Peter Harden's daughters. 13 adults on the old Gloucester Co ,NJ TO Clermont Co colony,were born Leeds,at Leeds Point,NJ. Peter Harden was in a another NJ colony who settled just north of the earlier NJ COLONY. Lukemyer,Chambers,Timothy Curless,George Ely,Hulick,Hutchison's Ivins were from se of Princeton,NJ IN S Windsor and adjoining townships. Ransom was from north of Va's York River,at Mobjack Bay Beverly Roye was the holder of more than one Va Miliatary Warreents surveyed in Clermont Co,and later contested in land suit courts.

    2. I wonder if this is the same information included in a book of patriots of Clermont County. My ancestor, James John, was listed as being a Revolutionary War patriot, serving under Anthony Wayne, but in subsequent research, I have found nothing on this gentleman. I have checked RW records at the NARA here in Denver. Is there any new information included in his listing? Barbara Jansen

He died about 1804? leaving the following children: Thomas, David, Lemuel, William, John, Mrs. Isaiah Ferguson, and Mrs. James Fitzpatrick, from whom numerous descendants yet remain in Pierece township. John Hulick who came from New Jersey to Batavia township, was a pensioner of the patriot army. He was the father of James, John and Cornelius - those two remained and died in New Jersey.
