    2. My name is Terry Littleton and I admin the LITTLETON@rootsweb.com mailing list and the LITTLETON Family Tree Maker DNA Project. I would love to get in contact with ANY Littleton descendants (or Tavenner) in the Clark Co, area. There are about 3 Littleton lines in the Clark Co area (this includes Greene Co and Clifton areas) going back to about 1820. One is my ancestors going back to a John Wesley Littleton who died in 1838 and is buried in the Old Brighton Cem, another is the Littleton Funeral Home line and another Littleton line associated with the Funeral Home Littleton's. I have most of these families pieced together but I can't connect MY line to the other two although they all came from the Loudoun Co, VA area as did the Tavenners. I'd like to see if any area Littletons have bibles or family histories that might provide me with new clues. Thanks - Terry Littleton

    2. John W Littleton was m ggg gf. He was b 1806 in the Loudoun Co, VA area, married Elizabeth Tavenner in Loudoun Co VA 26 Mar 1829. They had 1 son Daniel Jackson b in VA 1830 and were in Clark Co before 2nd son Charles William b 1831. Another son George Washington b 1833 and a daughter Ruth Ester b 1835, John died in Clark Co 6 Apr 1838 and is buried in the Brighton Cem. His stone is a 3 ft tall marker just after you enter the Cem. Elizabeth Tavenner is related to the other Tavenner line that still is in Clark. Another descendant of John Wesley Littleton is Charles Littleton who is a lawyer still in Springfield. Strange coincidence is he ended up in business with t William Tavenner but they didn't know their relationship. I cannot figure out WHY John and Elizabeth came to Clark. There was another Littleton line and another Tavenner line but those came to Clark a few decades later. They were also from the same families back in Loudoun Co. John's wife remarried a Vansky after John died and the family went to Hardin Co. I have found John's estate papers in Clark but I have never found any reference to who his parents were of of any siblings or family ties back to Loudoun co, VA. John was a carpenter and lived in Pleasant Twp, and then moved to Harmony Twp and had property in Brighton. I have never been able to track to current years any descendants of his daughter, Ruth Ester Littleton who married a John H Fuls Jr.. Fuls is spelled many ways. I'd love to find liiving descendants of her family who might have family info. That is about all I know about his time in Clark. I keep hoping some new info will surface to help establish any other Littleton family connections. By the way, in my research process, I have put together family trees of the other Clark Co Littleton lines if anyone is interested. These lines include the Littleton - Rue funeral Home families. Thanks for this opportunity - Terry Littleton - admin of LITTLETON@rootsweb.com and DNA Project. -----Original Message----- From: Richard Berkheiser <ricksbookshelf@gmail.com> To: ohclark <ohclark@rootsweb.com> Sent: Tue, May 8, 2018 11:02 pm Subject: ([OHCLARK])Surname Shout Out Hi everyone! 1. [OHClaek] HUMBARGER - SOWERS - WELCHHANS - HALLSTEINE or HALSTEEN or HALLSTINE - HUMPHREY - DAVIS - FINCH Family Photographs
    2. Shelley Cardiel via
    3. I've "rescued" three old photographs belonging to the HUMBARGER and SOWERS Family of Ohio. The first is a photograph of Olive HUMBARGER which was taken at the J. E. Smith Studio in Springfield, OH. The photograph appears to have been taken in the 1870's with Olive likely in her 20's at the time. The second photograph is one of Maryanna HUMBARGER taken at the same studio also likely in the 1870's. Maryanna appears to be in her teens at the time. The third photograph is one of Peter SOWERS which was taken at the W. J. Winter Studio in Springfield, OH. Peter appears to be in his 30's at the time, likely taken in the 1870's. It is possible that the photographs are early photographs from the 1860's which were duplicated on carte vista types in the 1870's or 1880's. Hard to tell other than the ages of those in the photographs. Since the women both appear to have died young they may have been duplicated for memorial gifting at the time of their deaths. Based on limited research I was able to locate the following information regarding these individuals and their families: Olive "Ollie" HUMBARGER was b. 20 Sept 1846 in Clark County OH to parents Adam C.
