I've had genealogy on freepages, worldconnect for years and never had this problem. I've also been a Ancestry.com member from almost their begining, still no problem. We're doing genealogy and the first thing they tell you, is to check the sources. Now, you are making a statement. What are your sources for this statement of them puting "your" info on CD's. Show me the Proof Are you talking about the WFT CD's? ----- Original Message ----- From: <JMINI22977@aol.com> To: <OHBUTLER-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Friday, July 28, 2006 1:09 PM Subject: Re: [OHBUTLER-L] Ancestry.com changes Ron, They have new feature where you fill out your family tree and add pictures, etc (your own web space). So once you are on their site they will probably use your records. This happened to me when they bought out RootsWeb.com. My family tree is on Ancestry.com they took it from RootsWeb.com who promised that your family tree would not be burned to CD. Now I do not know if it is burned to CD but you are being charged to see what you can see for free on RootsWeb.com. I sent Ancestry.com a complaint and they answered and I did not agree with their answer. Anyway, you have to take the good with the bad on Ancestry.com. We can just try and keep them in line or rather online and make sure you complain.
