    3. Gene, Thanks for the acknowledgement, but I work at the Butler County Records Center. I talked to Audra on the phone on and explained to her what records were at the Records Center and although we could do some look-ups for her, we were not able to do in-depth research as we are not staffed to do that. The one lady that I find most helpful at the Lane Library is Audrey. Most of her Neilan family is in St. Mary's cemetery, but they do not have a record of John's father, Thomas Neilan. He is not at St Stephen's either. Will keep checking Linda Thompson ----- Original Message ----- From: "Gene Williams" <genewill@sbcglobal.net> To: <OHBUTLER-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Tuesday, July 18, 2006 7:35 PM Subject: Re: [OHBUTLER-L] help please > Ask for Linda Thompson at Lane Public Library....lots of > info/knowledge..SW Ohio Genealogy society. > Call John Francis at New London Cemetery....Paddy's Run is Shandon, Oh, > and the New London Cemetery is at Shandon...plus there is another, older > cemetery in the middle of Shandon. 3. Thanks for the heads-up. It might keep me from looking like a total idiot later. A clue that Audra indicated earlier was that Thomas had a "Paddys Run" mailing address. That, in itself, leads me to believe that there might be record of Thomas between Ross and Scipio, probably on a farm, since it sounds like the background is Irish Catholic. If so, maybe Jill Evans, John Francis, or Tom Stander might have an inkling where he might have been located, if there is nothing being found in the Butler County records. I am told that my grandmother had a son, born dead, buried on the farm, yet there are no records that we have ever found of his existence, and our people have been at Shandon since the beginning, so, good luck searching. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Linda Thompson" <Linda_72@fuse.net> To: <OHBUTLER-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Wednesday, July 19, 2006 4:15 PM Subject: Re: [OHBUTLER-L] help please > Gene, > > Thanks for the acknowledgement, but I work at the Butler County Records > Center.
