in the 1850 census a stephen h. baker, born abt 1793 in maryland is in ward, randolph county, indiana the only other person listed in the household was john age 27 born indiana. a stephen with 1793 birth year and b in md does not come up in 1860 although there is this one: Stephen Baker in Wayne, Henry, IN, age 70, born abt 1790 in Connecticut this same one comes up in 1870 and has middle initial of h. He married Lydia Hand 1784 in NY. Lydia was the daughter of Stephen Hand and Mary Morgan.
