Thank you for checking for me. The 5 year old Thomas you mentioned was his grandson who died from being kicked by a horse of all things. Maybe when Thomas died the family moved on to Hamilton and he was left buried in Ross. That may be a tough one to figure out. Can I see all the Neilan's burried at St. Mary's or are you subcribed to something that the information is on? It may help in linking some people. I have some Heaths, Coakley's, and other Neilans' that I am trying to figure out. Thanks again:) Audra

Audra, I am a member of the local Butler County genealogy society and one of our members compiled a book about all of the burials in St. Mary's. She worked from the records in the office, plus she walked the cemetery and compared all info on the tombstones. She then put that info in a book and the society sells that book. She has also completed St. Stephens cemetery and that book will be for sale soon. If you come to Hamilton to do research, the St Mary's book is at the Butler County Records Center and the local library . Also at the Records Center are other cemetery records and you might be able to find your Thomas Neilan.
