For Karen: My G-Grandmother was Matilda Ruhe and she was buried in St. Stephen's Cemetery. Her parents were German but I think she was born in Erlanger KY. Just thought maybe you should try finding your Elias under Ruhe vs. Ruhl. Like you, I have done little research of my ancestors. Let me know if you find a connection please! Rita
