Westfield is a part of Essex County and referenced often in the Butler County Cyclopedia 1882 that http://www.rootsweb.com/~ohbutler/cyc/ has online. The Westfield site may be of value to those researching early Butler County residents. http://www.westfieldnjhistory.com The Westfield Presbyterian Church marriage records etc online have been helpful as well. http://www.westfieldnjhistory.com/files/lr12.htm I have found references for the Beach family buried in Amanda Cemetery, Scudder family buried in the Liberty Township Springhill cemetery and Clawson cemeteries. I was surprised and delighted to find so much material online about people in Butler County. I plan to send a donation to support their efforts at putting material online.
