Here's one for you. My 3rd. great grandfather {Jonathan WILLS } bought a farm in Clinton Co. Indiana circa 1830-33. He and his wife, Hannah DOUGLASS were married, 2, March 1829 in Butler Co.{ although his surname was spelled WILLIS not WILLS } and started their family in Butler Co. Ohio at the time of this purchase. Family story has it that he died from Dropsy, while on this farm. I have tried every where both in Butler Co. Ohio and Clinton Co. Indiana and can not find an obituary for his death, no death records in either state and no where can I find where he is buried. YEEKS!!!!!! What to do? I have sent money to both Ohio and Indiana for his death records and never have heard from either state but, both have cashed my checks. LOL Well, it isn't really funny. I do know that after Jonathan {John} died Hannah and her son Charles, born in Middle town 1, December 1829 went to live with her family in Butler Co. and by 1833 she married Ellis SQUIRE on 18, November 1833 in Butler Co. I did find a marriage for an Ellis SQUIRE and Betsy THOMPSON on 10, December 1829 in Butler Co. but, am not real sure if this is the same Ellis SQUIRE. I also know that Charles lived in Clinton Co. Indiana most of his life as did his mother and stepfather. I hope I have given you enough information and that SKS might have an answer for me, other than to give it up. Can anyone please help me out with this dilemma? I just don't know where else to look and what I can do now.
