Hello List Members, I am searching for sightings of Jesse H. STONER in the Hamilton, Butler Co. area ca 1910. Would it be possible for someone to look for him in a Hamilton *City Directory* for the period (1900-1920). I know that he was present in Cincinnati in 1900 and died in Los Angeles, CA in 1922. It is the years in between that are of interest to me... anything that mentions him in connection to the Hamilton, Butler County area would be helpful. Many thanks, Bette

Hi Bette, I looked for him in the 1910 census but he doesn't show up anywhere. In 1920 he is listed in Los Angeles, age 59, a boarder, b. Ohio, and was a merchant in groceries. Thanks for your message Norma. Yes, what you have found is for the Jesse H. STONER of my focus. At some point he met up with & married Julia WEISS of Hamilton, Butler County. They migrated to Los Angeles but Julia is back home (Hamilton) living with her brother at the time of the 1920 Census. It is the in-between years that are unaccounted for. Do you have access to a Hamilton, Butler County City Directory or know anyone who does who may be able to place Jesse H. STONER in Hamilton during the time period. Julia WEISS'S whereabouts (address(es) per the city directory) after 1910 but before 1920 are of interest to me as well. I have exhausted the possibility of locating Jesse H. STONER in the 1910 Census so the only resource left seems to be a city directory ca. 1910 either of Hamilton, Butler Co. or perhaps Cincinnati, Hamilton Co.
