I have found some great information on the Butler County Ohio Treasury website today that I would like to share with the list. If you have the address of your ancestor from a document or a census and they lived in Butler County, you can go to this site and look up information regarding the property. It will tell you when the home was built, how big the lot is, the square footage, and the best part is when you click on maps/gis on the left hand side. This brings up the next page, after the viewer loads, scroll down to parcel ID and click. You will not only get a sketch of the floor plan but an actual photograph of the home as it appears today. Many of the homes have never changed in appearance on the outside so it really gives you some idea about how your ancestors lived. It is also nice to have a picture for your records.
