Dennis.... There is the "Old Ebenezer Methodist Church Cemetery" in Hanover twp., Butler Co., OH on the east side of DeCamp Road, immediately south of the railroad track. DeCamp Road is the dividing line between Hannover twp. and Reily twp. The Church does not exist anymore. A private home is located where the church stood. The cemetery is now on private property and overgrown with mature trees and a lot of brush. It is just off DeCamp Road, but not easily seen because of the forestation. My husband has ancestors buried here. This original Ebenezer Methodist Church, in its history, apparently had a very serious disagreement among its members. This caused a split. I believe others also used the church. The members sold the church and land, including the cemetery. The other Ebenezer Church, I understand is newer. The Old Ebenezer Cemetery is written in the Butler Co. Historical book and it is also listed in Hazel Stroup's books on Butler Co. I hope this helps. Joan Addison [email protected]
