After the map discussions yesterday on this list, I was surprised to see a road named "George", west of Okeana. Do any of you know the origins of the name of that road? My George ancestors - so far as I know - lived on South Dwyer, just north of George Road. I could be wrong, or maybe the road was named for them but they didn't actually live on that road???
