I wonder if your Lewis family has any thing common with my great grandmother, Louisa Sophronia Lewis, b, abt 1844 in Indiana. She was the dau. of Ara Sherbon Lewis,b 15 Jan. 1822 in Virginia. He was killed by Indians 21 Feb.1851 and buried in Jefferson Twsp., Adams Co., Ind. Louisa's mother was Sophronia O'Harra,b 15 Jan, 1826 in Franklin Co., Ohio and died in Topeka, KS 11 Jan 1901. Her 2nd marriage was to Benjamin Franklin Bowman, an educator and Methodist preacher, who raised Louisa. Louisa Lewis married my great grandfather, John Dickinson Round, 1 Jan 1861 in Doniphan Co., KS. He was the son of Ezra Round, b 14 Oct. 1810 in Butler Co., Ohio.
