If your relative is Isaac SKILES, he lived in the NE 1/4 of the NE 1/4 of section 9 (according to the 1836 township map). This would be the SW corner of the intersection of North Wynn and Layhigh Roads. The nearest cemetery that I know of would be French Cemetery, about 1/2 mile due east. That may be a family cemetery. Besides that, there are probably about 4 other cemeteries within 1.5 miles of Isaac's property. One of these would even be in Reily Twp. See my map at... http://kowallek.myiglou.com/dennis/genealogy/butler-cemeteries-map.htm. Good luck! -- Dennis M. Kowallek kowallek@iglou.com ******************

    3. Well first of all I can't seem to figure this map out. If I click on #9 it says Wayne twp or something. Yes Isaac is mine but he is not buried there. It would be his father John Skiles or Skyles that died in 1827. Well Isaac is my uncle. He died in 1862 IN. John Skiles had the following Rachel - m. William Draper married 1807 Warren OH. Rebecca - m. James Kennedy m 1806 Butler Co. OH. Elley - m. maybe an Armstrong John Jr. Isaac - m. Jane George and MINE - George Hill Skiles they went to IL. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Dennis Kowallek" <kowallek@iglou.com> To: <OHBUTLER-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Wednesday, June 21, 2006 2:58 PM Subject: Re: [OHBUTLER-L] Millville Cemetery, Hamilton, Butler County, Ohio Photos > On Wed, 21 Jun 2006 14:15:36 -0400, Dennis Kowallek <kowallek@iglou.com> > wrote: > > >It would help to know what section of the township he lived in. > > If your relative is Isaac SKILES, he lived in the NE 1/4 of the NE 1/4 > of section 9 (according to the 1836 township map). P.S. I talked to Nancy about uploading the map I am referring to (to the OHBUTLER website). So when she gets it done I am sure she will post the link here. -- Dennis M.
