The 1836 maps at the Smith Library were very large (I think they were larger than 11x14 because they could not be copied in one piece on the copier) and were loose (i.e. in a large portfolio/folder). They were not in a book. I believe McBride's published these maps at various times during the 19th century. I have copies of a few from Clinton Co. from 1859 and 1876. -- Dennis M.
