I don't remember. But I'm not out of state. I live in Akron. But I had applied for it on line, they said they sent it to me but it was returned for some reason don't think they would tell me why. They said they would not send it out again for security reasons and that I would have to go there and show my I.D. Like I'm going to drive to Columbus for a library card. Geez, what security breach could there be by sending it back out to me. I could have faxed them my I.D. Obviously when I signed up for it on line I had to give them my email address which is why they were able to get in touch with me to tell me it was returned. So because I had an improper finger movement and hit the wrong key on my address or something they wig out on this security thing. Amazing. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Dennis Kowallek" <kowallek@iglou.com> To: <OHBUTLER-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Tuesday, June 20, 2006 5:12 PM Subject: Re: [OHBUTLER-L] Library > On Tue, 20 Jun 2006 17:00:38 -0400, "Janean Ray" <JRay38@neo.rr.com> > wrote: > > >I am wondering if anyone has had this happen or knows about it. > > > >I applied for a library card for the State Library in Columbus. > > > >Apparently in do so on line I must have made a typo or something making the > >address not good. Janeen, Since you are on Ohio resident you can go to www.oplin.org which is the Ohio Public Library site, and there is a list of libraries that participate in this so that you can access Heritage Quest from home. My local library here in Hamilton participates in this so I can use my regular library card and still use Heritage Quest.
