The play was written for Junior High school > programs for the Education Week by Helen L. Miller and Beulah M Bradley, > of the Hannah Penn Junior High School in York, Pa. > The plot carried a suggestion to the student audience to derive the > most from their education and make study interesting instead of a task. > The play was dramatized effectively to "Sell" the students on better education. > Members of the cast include JoAnn Kirk, Lelia Croake, Eugene Stanley, > Bill Martin, Jean Garrison, Martha Baird, Francis Henry, Ellen Stalls, > Jean Jones, Eula Mae Roberts, Billy Schuyler, Helen Swank, Wilson Briel, > Tom Jones and Harlan Downs. Miss Varta Vula took part in the play as > flute soloist. > A tuba solo was played by Jim Barnes, followed by a short preview > skit of "Sunshine Twins", a three-act comedy faree to be presented Friday > at 8 p.m. in the school auditorium. > Miss Dorothy Nieus, physical education teacher, and Rea Brown, music > director, assisted with the program.
