Hi all, This is probably the last reminder about the Work in the Woodmansee Cemetery. Oct 1 and Oct 15, 2005; 8am-12PM. Honeysuckle and stump removal is slow and tedius but a necessary evil. Efforts to uncover and right footstones continues as well. There is enough work for everyone. Reminders about next years work schedule will be out in April 2006. Thank-you all for spreading the word and coming out to work. Hopefully the trees that took out the mausoleum for James Woodmansee (1814-1887) will be removed this winter to prepare for work next spring. Efforts are being made to establish what the mausoleum looked like before it fell. Jennifer Brashear, a local artist may be able to render an image from the findings around the mausoleum. It is hoped that such an image will be used in a brochure being developed on the cemetery. The grass seed spread Sept 17 is already up and will hopefully reduce the spread of honeysuckle and poison ivy.
