    3. Sarah, I found this old entry on the Butler County site. Maybe this is your David. PHILLIPS (David). From: - Kelle Metz (Feb 11, 1999) Looking for David PHILLIPS b c1825 possibly Butler Co. OH. went to Parke Co. IN. and was schoolteacher there in 1850. Any help with this dead end will really be appreciated. My 3GGrandfather was David Phillips, born about 1823 in Ohio. 2. I found a listing at familysearch.org for a David Phillips b: 26 Sep 1823 in Ross, Butler, Ohio / d: 10 Mar 1902 Swan, Marion, IA. This one has the right birth date and state, but the wife's name is different that I was looking for. 3. On the death transcript for his son Charles M. Philips; it lists his mother as M. Cisco of OH, and his father as D. Phillips of IA I wonder if one of these is the first wife and the other the second wife, and which would be the mother of Charles M. Also: I wonder if these are two different families, with two different David's. 4. I find David on the 1860 Clay, Marion, Ia Census with wife Mary A. and son, Charles M. David 37 born in Ohio Mary A. 37 born in Ohio Charles M. 06 born Clay, Marion, Iowa I have not been able to find anything else with David, Mary, and Charles M. Please let me know if you have anything on this family. Does anyone happen to know anything about this family? thank you very much, Sarah ------------------------------- To unsubscribe from the list, please send an email to OHBUTLER-request@rootsweb.com with the word 'unsubscribe' without the quotes in the subject and the body of the message
