Norma ************************************************************************* Joseph Newton Family-Placed Obituary NEWTON, Joseph M. Age 82, of Monroe, died Sunday, April 15, 2007, at Mt. Pleasant Retirement Village. He was born in Hillsboro, on September 15, 1924 to parents Myron Floyd and Margaret (Lemmons) Newton. Mr. Newton was a graduate of Middletown High School and Miami University and worked for Crystal Tissue for 43 years. He was a World War II veteran of the United States Air Force and life member of the American Legion Post 218. He was also a member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ, the Middletown & Monroe Historical Societies, and Middletown Senior Citizens. Mr. Newton is survived by his wife of 54 ½ years, Martha (Williamson) Newton; three sisters, Mary Lou Williams, Jeanne Stephenson, and Margaret Phillips; and many nieces & nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Charles Newton; and a sister, Shirley Allen. Funeral Service will be held Thursday, April 19, 2007 at 10:00 AM at Wilson-Schramm-Spaulding Funeral Home, 3805 Roosevelt Blvd. (at Bonita Dr.), Middletown, with Reverend Stan Gockel officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday, from 5:00 - 7:00 pm at the funeral home. Interment will be at Woodside Cemetery.
