For example Noah & Joel Doty are written about having died in 1806 & 1807. No one talks about where they were buried. The odds are good that they were buried in the Riverside Cemetery as there is no evidence that Daniel Doty had these 2 moved or buried in the 1827 opening of the Middletown Cemetery. I plan to reference "Why" the person has been put in the cemetery. I have read with interest the early burials. The Dotys, if I remember correctly bought land from the Rounds/Rowans back in the early 1800s. My 4th great grandfather, Jacob Round died there in 1822. Jacob Round/Rowan died there in 1819. Elizabeth (Round) Shrader and her husband, Aaron Shrader, died there in 1826. Also it is possible that, Christropher Round/Rowan is buried there as he was ambused by Indians near the Ohio River while a teen ager. I know that they have lived in Fairfield and in several other areas. Some of this information came from the book " I.......HOKE, BEQUEATH " by Jean Stiger Berlekamp. I don't have the book; but a decendent of William Schrader's wife , Susanna Hoke, The Colmers, and others gave me the infdormation as Elizabeth was their ancestor. Is it possibvle that there could be a grave stone for one or more of the above? Charles Round ************************************** See what's free at http://www.aol.com.

    3. Middletown is Quite a bit further from the Ohio River to make it reasonable that " Also it is possible that, Christropher Round/Rowan is buried there as he > was ambused by Indians near the Ohio River while a teen ager. I know that they > have lived in Fairfield and in several other areas". Also If the Family is recorded as known in Fairfield Township it isn't entirely reasonable that they would be buried in Lemon Township at the "Riverside" cemetery. In the Amanda Cemetery nearby Middletown Cemetery and possibly the Little Praries Baptist Church burial ground there is an 1802 limestone burial marker. so there are plenty of Small cemeteries between Fairfield township and Lemon township. Religion or other evidence of residency in the Lemon/ Madison Township would give more credence as to burial location. Perhaps we need to start a website of generic lost burials in Butler County. But if you have a township where the people are more likely from- they should be identified as buried in the Township and not a specific cemetery. 3. Has anyone found French's buried in Butler county? I am researching Phillip French who moved to Vermillion co. IN after 1820. I wonder if his parents were in Butler co. Marilyn in West Virginia
