    3. Shirley- I haven't heard any gossip about anyone scalped. That may predate even the Middletown "riverside" cemetery. I have heard about a Liberty Twp woman "scalped" and supposed tombstones - that "cemetery" has no stones and is surrounded by homes- no evidence of any burials. It is possible that your relative was buried where he was found. I have heard that that was done and without a stone and before 1867 there would be no record. Sorry I couldn't help- consider "Putting" your relative into the "Riverside" Cemetery. I'm willing to put speculative burials- especially if you have a year. Worst thing that would happen- I'd be wrong. I figure wrong is sometimes better than leaving no record and loosing relatives by neglect. 3. Carolyn - Good idea but let me do some checking first to make sure I don't have a burial listed someplace. I doubt it but will check. Do you list them as speculative burials?
