Naturalization records are held at the Butler County Records Center. In the early years, naturalizations were granted in different courts. We have them in Common Pleas Court books, in the Alien's Record book and in Naturalization books. You probably won't find a paper for Mary Koch, as most women were not naturalized, they automatically became citizens if their husbands were naturalized. As for the son Andrew, after the Civil War broke out, a law was passed that anyone who served, could take their discharge papers to court and they were automatically granted citizenship. This still holds true today, anyone who is not an American citizen who fights in the war, can receive automatic citizenship. Hope that this helps.
