Would anyone have a Rosehill Cemetery book with listings of people who are buried there? Or is there a website where I can check myself? I'll wait to hear from someone before I request the family name I'm looking for. Thanks everyone for all your help. Barbara in Indianapolis, IN

Hi Gary, Would you please let me know which Schwab's are in the index? I never seem to be able to come up with any info on this name. Thanks so much, Bonnie
Dennis.... There is the "Old Ebenezer Methodist Church Cemetery" in Hanover twp., Butler Co., OH on the east side of DeCamp Road, immediately south of the railroad track. DeCamp Road is the dividing line between Hannover twp. and Reily twp. The Church does not exist anymore. A private home is located where the church stood. The cemetery is now on private property and overgrown with mature trees and a lot of brush. It is just off DeCamp Road, but not easily seen because of the forestation. My husband has ancestors buried here. This original Ebenezer Methodist Church, in its history, apparently had a very serious disagreement among its members. This caused a split. I believe others also used the church. The members sold the church and land, including the cemetery. The other Ebenezer Church, I understand is newer. The Old Ebenezer Cemetery is written in the Butler Co. Historical book and it is also listed in Hazel Stroup's books on Butler Co. I hope this helps. Joan Addison [email protected]

I am curious about this but find the price slightly prohibitive when multiplied by the number of these things that I COULD buy in the hopes of finding something new. Would anyone with a copy consider checking if certain interests were even IN it? If so, let me know, please. Then I might have a reason to buy it. I hope nobody out there takes this the wrong way......I'm being quite sincere......... PH DePoy Manassas VA

This book goes back to the very beginning of Seven Mile and even before that. I haven't completed it but it begins in the late 1700's. Your D'Camp relatives are buried at the Somerville Cemetery. It was originally a Presbyterian cemetery, according to the 1882 Butler County History. ----- Original Message ----- From: <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Friday, April 29, 2005 2:49 PM Subject: [OHBUTLER-L] Old Cemetery ..help > Looking for the name of an old cemetery and the church that I found in > the > 1970's. > > The cemetery was behind an old large red brick church in Milford Twp., > Somerville, OH > > My D'Camp / DeCamp family are buried there. > > Thanks Nina > > > > > ==== OHBUTLER Mailing List ==== > Butler County Archives and Records Center - > http://www.butlercountyohio.org/records/ > >
