    3. Charles, I just clicked on the link in this rootsweb message and it took me to a militia list for Capt. John. If it still doesn't work for you, here is how I found it. I went to google and entered "Capt. John Robinson" 1812. Linda ______________________________Date: Sat, 21 May 2005 23:28:48 -0700 (PDT) From: Linda Grinnell <[email protected]> To: [email protected] Subject: Capt. John Robinson's War of 1812 Unit and John Lowry (died 1838 Butler County) To Carolyn Lacey: Thanks for submitting the information on John Lowry who was buried in Monroe North Cemetery. He was born Sep 13, 1779 and died Oct 20, 1838 and married Hannah. Known children were: Benjamin, William, John, Huldah, Sarah P. (md Ebenezer Johnson), Roda, Zereldah, and Richard. I feel he probably was descended from my John Lowry who died 1801 but I haven't been able to find any proof yet. To Charles: Please post the information regarding Capt. John Robinson's unit if someone sends it to you. I'm sure others will be interested as well. I will continue to search for my list also. 2. Kathryn
    3. Thank you, Linda; this could be it - I'll follow it up. I believe now after having been sent some information today and 1869 Plat maps that Joseph Edwards' land was probably near there, just to the east of Mariemont and Fairfax, down almost to the Ohio River and between Columbia Parkway and Madison Road. His sons owned it for a few years after he died but eventually sold it. By the 1850 Census, his wife and son were in Butler County. I appreciate your help!!!!!! 2. I will research my old notes as the name is familar ! I believe that an ancestor of mine also fought with Capt. John Robinson in war of 1812 ! I am researching Daniel, Jacob Jr.,and Philip Round. Name has been spelled Rowan,Rowen,Rownd,Rown,Rowand. My gggrand father was Ezra Round who was born in,or near, Butler Co., Ohio in 1810,and was also married in Fountain Co., IN in 1837. Jacob Rowan/Round died in Butler Co. in 1818 while Daniel and Philip moved to Dearborn Co., IN in census of 1820. My great grandfather was born in White Co., IN in 1839. His name was John Dickinson Round. Shortly after 1840, Ezra and family moved to Buchanan Co., MO and to Doniphan Co., KS abt 1855. I have seen the name Lowry somewhere in my boxes of notes. Charles Allen Round, [email protected] PS Another of my ancesters, Andrew Round/Rowen, had a child who married a Clark !!
