    1. Poor Amanda Cemetery
    2. Carolyn Lacey
    3. I finally got to the cemeteries with my flowers. Pioneer Cemetery looks WONDERFUL! What a difference Vivian and her group has made! My only concern there is that I am afraid Hiram Beauchamp's stone is going to disaapear. It has been broken for several years. The piece that is still mounted in the ground is loose. Once the vandals find that out----good-by Hiram! I wish I could do something to repair it, but with my bad back I was lucky to get flowers to the cemetery. But I really want to commend the people that have made such a difference. I am sure my ancestors are pleased! But, Oh, Amanda! Several stones are shoved out of place including J.T. McGlaughlin--my great-great grandfather. And poor Ebenezer Manche---still doesn't have any kind of marker indicating that he fought in the Civil War. He died at Mission Ridge, TN. Only 21 years old. There are some old pioneers there, too. My great-great-great grandmother is there. She was born in 1782. That is 223 YEARS ago!! Carolyn --------------------------------- Do You Yahoo!? Yahoo! 2. Barbara Noble
    3. Was Donald L. Pearson born in Dayton, OH? I used to be married to George A. Pearson whose father was Donald Pearson. Donald and his wife, Mary, moved from Dayton, OH, to Hamilton and that is where I met their son, George, in the early 60s. I believe Donald and Mary are both deceased now. Was just curious, and thanks much, Barbara in Indianapolis, IN unicorn1945 <[email protected]> wrote: Memorial Day remembrance, gratitude and love to the 7 (seven!) children of Martin Lewis and Leona Pearson. 1. Tucker's from Oxford
    2. Josh & Paula Pangier
    3. Hi List, It's been several years since my last post and am still with no new information on my Tucker line. I am researching the family of John and Hester (Hettie) Reed who lived in Oxford in the 1850 federal Census. At the time of this census their children were: Sarah Jane age 13 John age 8 James age 5 Preston age 3 Rachel age 1 John Sr. appears in the 1860 Federal Census working as a farm laborer in Oxford but I cannot find his wife or children anywhere. Sarah Jane is old enough to have been married by this point. I am hoping someone out there might have access to marriage records to see if she was indeed married at this and to whom. I have not been able to locate John Tucker Sr. in any of the 1870 Federal Census's so I am assuming he died somewhere between 1860 and 1870. Since he was in Oxford for atleast 20 years, can someone tell me if there is any cemetery listings for him or for Hester? By 1870, John Jr. and brother Preston appears to be living in MO. No idea as to what happened to James or little sister Rachel. Any help at all locating death information on John and Hester Strong would be so much appreciated. Also marriage information on Sarah Jane or Rachel would be wonderful too. Thanks, Paula MN

    2. The only Butler County veteran I know of is Bob Dillhoff, a friend of my brother's, who served with the Marines (I believe), and died in August 1998. I would also like to thank Marcel Ertel for his work finding the families of American pilots who died and were buried in France during WWII.
