    3. I have been doing research on my grandparents in the early 1900s, and have found wonderful stuff in the "Dayton Items" (this is in Indiana) in the local newspaper. Around here (Lafayette, Indiana) such columns continued until the 1970s, I believe. It is a bit hit or miss, but along with who had dinner with whom, who was sick or died, the list of eighth grade graduates, and what property changed hands, I've found notes that grandmother, a musician, performed at several events, played for weddings, etc., and details about the town football team that grandfather and his brothers were on. The newspapers are on microfilm at the local public library, and it takes considerable time to search the film. 3. Dear Ann Morey, Today I received the copies you made for me from the old HHS yearbooks of my mother and my father. I was thrilled to death with what you found! For two years I have been doing research on my family, but I never thought of working backwards for records of when they were younger. Please email me personally at barbaranoble@sbcglobal.net as I want to pay you for these copies. You did a beautiful job and I will cherish them forever. I will take your email to work Monday and search the archives during my lunch breaks. School is out for Christmas break Wednesday, and most of the board staff is also gone, but I should be able to get hold of the yearbooks before everyone leaves. Would anyone have access to the old Hamilton High School yearbooks between 1922 and 1927, or know where I might find them? I would love to see pictures of my mother and father when they were in high school. They both passed away 35 and 36 years ago and I do not have any old pictures of them. My mother was Alma E. Dwinell and she graduated in either 1926 or 1927. My father was Faye L. Dill and he graduated in either 1922 or 1923. I cannot be more exact on which years, as I do not know how old they were when they graduated. Thank you for any help or direction on where to find these. 3. HHSAlumni.net has a number of scanned senior photos for most Hamilton High, Central High, Garfield and Taft classes from 1896 through the present. There are also some Notre Dame, Hamilton Catholic, and Badin classes included. To see the full list, go to: http://tinyurl.com/7med5 This is also the only known alumni site providing an obituary or memoriam section where folks remember their friends and family. The custom search option for obits by last name and/or year graduated can be found here: http://tinyurl.com/dugoa View the home page of the site for more info as to what the entire site entails: http://tinyurl.com/dydmc For yearbook originals, try the Historical Society or the Hamilton Board of Education as well as the Lane Public Library in Hamilton. 3. Barbara, I believe that the Lane Library in Hamilton has copies of all the yearbooks.
