Hello all listers, Another family member in Illinois and I have been trying to find a death record or an obituary or anything on the death of an ancestor ... Charles E. Dill. Charles is listed in the 1870 census as 10 years old, living with Ann Dill, age 58 and Ann's daughter, Margaret Dill, age 33, in Hamilton County, Crosby Township. In the 1880 census in Hamilton County, Crosby Township, Charles is still listed with Ann Dill, age 68, Matthew Dill, age 41 and Mary Dill, age 35. Charles E. Dill maried Jennie Frazee on July 10, 1893, in Hamilton County, OH. Charles is listed in the 1900 Hamilton County, Harrison Township, census with his wife, Jennie and four (4) children. In 1903, Charles and Jennie's son, Karl, was born in Indiana (Harrison). In the 1910 Butler County, city of Hamilton census, Charles is missing, but his wife, Jennie, and five (5) children are listed ... the youngest child having been born around 1908. So Charles was either dead or Jennie had divorced him by 1910. In 1910, Charles would have been around 49 years old. If anyone has any information at all on this Charles--whether what happened to him or who his real parents were--we would be so grateful. Thank you, everyone, Barbara in Indiana
Good evening listers! I'm new to this forum, and wondered if anyone has information on my ancestors from Butler county... Albert Totten was the son of Jasper & unknown, and he was born in 1829. He had a brother named Gideon Totten who was born 1837 in Ohio, and possibly another one named Milton. On 22 June 1848 Albert married Elizabeth Bradford in Butler County. She was possibly the daughter of Leoful Bradford & Lucinda and may have had siblings named Eliza, Albert & Emaly/Emily Bradford, all 3 of whom were born in the 1840's in Ohio. The Tottens have shown up in various census' in Oxford Township, Butler County, and circa 1855 they moved to Iowa. Albert & Elizabeth's children were: Harriet - born 1849/in Ohio, married William Dabney. William - born 1853/in Ohio James A. - born 1855/in Iowa, married a woman named Ada Maria/Mariah/Myra - born 1858/in Iowa, married Nathan Almon Mason Adeline and Caroline (identical twins)- born 1863/Iowa Adeline married James E. Forsyth 25 July 1882 and died in August of 1925, Peru, Nebraska Caroline married and moved to Washington state. Thank you so much for taking the time to read this, and I'm hoping that one of you finds a connection with my branches! Karen in South Carolina

I am trying to trace descendants of Thomas BAKER and Lydia HAND who settled in Butler Co. just after 1800. The one daughter I am specifically looking for is Lucy b. abt. 1805 in Ohio. I do not know if the following information is correct or not so I am looking for help to prove or disprove the following: Lucy BAKER m. Thomas GARDNER May 1828 They had 2 children Lucy A. b. abt. 1831 and Charles b. abt. 1834 Lucy A. married Squire CARL and they had a daughter Mary J. b. abt 1850. Squire died before 1860. Lucy married Absolam BONER abt 1861 and they had a daughter Lizzie b. abt 1863. I do not know what happened to Charles. Any help with this is greatly appreciated. Brenda in TX
