the reason for the address is the Presbyterian historical society has then catalogued under city and state name. Could anyone give me the name of the mailing address (city name) that would be for the bethel cemetery in Hanover township. Janean, No one seems to have answered your question. You asked if there was an 1810 Census for Butler co., OH. The answer is no. The census records for Ohio start in 1820. There is a Butler county, Ohio Tax List for 1807. Someone on this list might have a copy. But even if your SKILES/SKYLES family is listed, it won't give you the name of his wife. I looked at the 1810 census. There is one John Skiles living in West Pennsboro, Cumberland County, PA. There are other family members but I can not tell the ages as ancestry chopped out the top of the pages during filming. Is this area near Lancaster County? I have a will of my 4th great grandfather John Skiles dated 9 Jan 1827 that does not name a wife. They had 6 children Rachel Skiles m. William Draper in 1807 Rebecca Skiles m. James Kennedy 1806 Elley Skiles John Skiles Jr. b. 1796 m. Elizabeth ??? Isaac Skiles b. 1800 m. Jane George 1825 George Hill Skiles b. 1809 m. Catherine ??? 1826 In doing the math and making a giant estimate, Rebecca m. in 1806.... so let's say she was 18... that would put her birth about 1788. That would make her 8 years older than John Jr. So I'm estimating that John Sr. and this unknown wife married about 1786/87 area. IF this is generally correct and take about 20 years away from the marriage, John Sr. was born about 1767 making him about 60 when he died or at least when the will was written. Based on this information I'm looking for his wife's name. I believe they were married in PA specifically the Lancaster Co. area. But hoping she possibly passed away in Morgan Twp. I have no cemetery information - nothing. I did find on a link given out earlier that Rachel m. William Draper in Warrent Co. Rebecca m. James Kennedy in Butler Co., George, Isaac and John Jr. were listed on the federal census as in Butler Co. 1830/40 and most likely father John Sr. in 1820 listed on federal census in Butler which I pretty much knew by his Will. There is no female listed in 1820 so I'm thinking she had already died. Is there an 1810 census? Unfortunately most of those only list head of house hold. I'm just a little lost at this point of where to turn. Any suggestions appreciated. Just a reminder- Saturday May 6, 2006 8AM -12 PM work at the Woodmansee Cemetery. Epoxy and rain may cause a change in planned work. I think this was meant to be posted to the Butler County list, so I am forwarding it there. I am not doing research in Indiana, but rather SW Ohio as that is where I am from and where all my ancestors lived. If you are wanting to get on a list here in Indiana, I'm sure Marion County has their own website. Hi Barbara, Today is my Sat to work so I'll scan the two pages (I copied them from a book at Fort Wayne) when I get home this afternoon. It may take a while for me to do it on this new computer. Son, Phil fixed the old one - actually, there wasn't really anything wrong with it except it was too full to function - that had been the problem with my WORD for over a year. He took a bunch of stuff off that I don't need and now Word works and it even connected to the net. I'm going to get a flat screen moniter so it will take up less room upstairs and a cheap small printer (parts of my family tree maker don't work with out a printer hooked up - go figure) and use that computer for genealogy. All of my genealogy including saved documents are on it and I won't have to move them all - plus if I don't serf the new or open any attachments, I won't even need a virus scanner.. Speaking of which, I got a personal email (not from any list) from a Charles R. Heath II with the subject CHRISMAN IN OLD ST MARY'S CEMETERY - it had no letter and only an attachment. The new virus program couldn't identify it and posted a sign about - do I know this person - did I want to risk opening an unidentified attachment, etc. I didn't open it. Do you know this person? I assume he's from the Butler-L. Did you get one? Are some of Elias and Susannah Chrisman's children buried in Butler Co. in Old Ste Mary's? Hi Gale, Take your time in scanning those pages for me. Yes, I know this Charles Heath. He is okay. I did receive an email from him regarding the Springdale Cemetery and the Chrisman's. There was no attachment in the email he sent me. He had all the information on this family in the body of his email. I copied the information into a Works document but it's going to take some time to delete all the >>'s, etc. and get it all in order. Whew! Would you believe I am not even dressed yet and it is 10:00 a.m.? I have a large stack of genealogy papers on my desk of notes and emails that I need to go through and either file or pitch. I am really sick of moving these papers from one pile to another. They are not only cluttering up my desk, but also my brain. ha! ha! Glad to hear from you as always, and hope you have a nice day, Barbara Edward E Wallen <edwall@ccaonline.com> wrote: Hi Barbara, Today is my Sat to work so I'll scan the two pages (I copied them from a book at Fort Wayne) when I get home this afternoon. LOIS ANGELO <ljangelo@verizon.net> Thanks, Norma ------------------------------------ I am trying to find information Aaron Rieser and his wife (Hanna) Christina (Sauer) Rieser. They were married in Butler county on Aug 1st,1837 in Butler county. I cannot find any more information on them after the 1840 census. I know that they had at least two sons named George M. Rieser born 1843 and died in Richmond Indiana in 1918. His brother Frank or Franklin was born in 1845 and died in 1921 in Butler county. Frank would be my great-great grandfather. It looks the the two sons went to live with the Sowers family in Preble county in the 1850 census. Any information on Aaron RIeser or his wife would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Lois
