I added to one with Brown County info that should have been on this list: <<There were quite a few French in and around Brown County, but a lot of them were Belgian from what is now the Luxemburg Province of Belgium which is French speaking. These people are also know as Walloons. The census records of Brown County, OH are very interesting because as the political climate changed in that region in Belgium, they changed the answer as to where they were from; France, Alsace, and finally said Belgium in the 1880s.
