I found out that my double (Wardlow-Dunn) cousin in Ohio knows Keith Ellis who lives in Sardinia. Since I live 2,000 miles away, I wrote to him, but got no reply. I understand that he is the Ellis family expert. I am also working with the Brown Co. Genealogical Society and will probably make a visit this summer. I have the original History of the Wardlaw family book which was published in 1929. My g uncle was Clayton J. Wardlaw (an attorney in Columbus) who did all of the Ohio branch research in the back. I also have a copy of Diane Wardlaw's book and the Beers Book on Brown County history. I just can't be sure that the Matilda Ellis mentioned is my ggg grandmother. I was hoping that one of the Ellis experts would help me out and confirm my research. Thanks for your offer to help. Let me know if you find anything.
