Looking for further insight into connections between McCormick, Anderson and McClain lines in Bracken Co., Ky., Mason Co., Ky. and Brown Co., Ohio. I have the following: >1806 Bracken Co. deed wherein John E. McCormick purchased lot in Augusta, Ky. from Charles & Margaret McClain of Clermont Co., Ohio (I assume this in present Brown Co.) >1809 John E. McCormick md. Polly Anderson (d/o Matthew Anderson) in Mason Co. >1809 Mason Co. will for Matthew Anderson names James McCane (could it be McClain?) >1814 Bracken Co., Ky. deed wherein John and Polly McCormick sold 286 acres in Mason Co. to Ira Anderson >1814 Mason Co., Ky. Circuit Court case wherein John E. McCormick vs. Stokes Anderson involving estate of Matthew Anderson. >1815 John McClain md. Jane McCormick in Bracken Co., Ky. (they apparantly did not stay in Bracken Co.) >1823 Brown Co. deed, Hiram Shaw sold to McCormick & Anderson in Ripley, Ohio--have no details >1828 Brown Co. deed, Stokes Anderson (there was a Stokes Anderson in Mason Co. before 1800) sold to John McClain (involved dower....have no details) >1831 Brown Co. deed, Samuel McCormick sold to Asa Anderson (Matthew Anderson of Mason Co. had a son named Asa)---have no details >1848 Brown Co. deed, Wm. McCormick sold lot in Higginsport, Charles McClain was witness >1848 Charles McClain was member of Higginsport Presbyterian Church If anyone can help connect the dots among these families I would apprecaite hearing from you. I am trying to determine the ancestry of John E. McCormick b. 1788 in Pa. who was in Bracken Co., Ky. by at least 1806 and died there in 1868. His son Wm. B. b. 1814 was a doctor who was back and forth between Augusta and Higginsport from 1837 until his death in 1904. Art Miller, Louisville
