Surnames: Brown, Long, Clymo, Benjamin, Bevan, Graham, Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/xVB.2ACE/1407.1 Message Board Post: This story is the same except that since I have now found out that my great grandmother didn't arrive from Bavaria to United States until 1850 it would seem that 1850 would be the earliest that William Brown and his brothers would have left for gold fields of California since he met Victoria Cordelia Long before he left and then went back for her. Also Victoria's obit says that she settled in MO with her family until leaving for CA with William Brown c1852. Possibly he met her in MO or along the way from OH to MO.
